MPW are seeking skilled and qualified poly / HDPE weld operators to join our pipeline project team in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania. The project is expected to run for approx. 18 months with possible ongoing opportunities for the right person. Candidates will require their own reliable transport to get to the job site and must be based in the surrounding area, ideally Longford or southern surrounding areas.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Large irrigation pipeline project in Northern Midlands region of Tasmania.
- Working with large diameter pipe up to 1000mm.
- Project duration approx. 18 months.
- Candidates must reside in the state of Tasmania, no FIFO positions available. Southern Tasmanian candidates are also encouraged to apply (travel & accommodation may be available for the right candidate).
- Above award rates.
- Immediate start, after pre-employment medical and police check clearance.
ABOUT YOU
- Must have Nationally Accredited butt welding ticket – PMBWELD301 Butt weld polyethylene plastic pipelines. Training or re-accreditation no longer than 2 years old (can assist with refresher for the right candidate).
- Construction industry White Card.
- C class car licence (truck classes are an advantage).
- Previous HDPE butt welding experience, McElroy Tracstar & data logging experience will be viewed favourably.
- Chainsaw, telehandler, excavator tickets and experience also viewed favourably.
- Team player with a high regard for safety and quality.
- Willing to participate in pre-employment drug and alcohol screening and police checks.
