· Are you located in the Northern Midlands region of Tasmania with reliable transport?
If yes, MPW are looking for a skilled and qualified telehandler or excavator operator to join our pipe welding team in the Northern Midlands of Tasmania. The project is expected to run for approx. 18 months with possible ongoing opportunities for the right person. Candidates will require their own reliable transport to get to the job site and must be based in the surrounding area (ideally Longford or southern surrounding areas).
RTO Statement of Attainment or a Gold Card is required for this role. Additional tickets like poly / HDPE welder, chainsaw & dogman will be viewed favourably, as will previous experience in a similar role.
Candidates must have the Construction Industry White Card and be prepared to participate in Drug & Alcohol Screening & Police Checks.
ABOUT THE ROLE
· Operate telehandlers or excavators on an irrigation pipeline project site.
· Load and unload HDPE pipe lengths in and out of welding equipment.
· Load and unload HDPE pipeline materials from transport trucks/trailers.
· Assist weld operator with general tasks wherever required, including assist with welding process, tidying up weld area. measuring, marking & cutting pipes/fittings, use of hand/power tools, packing up to relocate equipment to new weld site and other labouring duties.
